Webhooks

Webhooks allow QuoteLogic to stay in sync with your external systems. Instead of manually importing data, your system can notify QuoteLogic when changes occur. QuoteLogic then fetches the latest data and updates your environment automatically.

Why Use Webhooks

Webhooks are ideal for teams that manage pricing outside of QuoteLogic.

Use webhooks to:

  • Sync pricing updates from an ERP or CPQ system
  • Keep product data aligned across systems
  • Eliminate manual imports and reduce errors
  • Ensure all users are working from the latest data

How It Works

When your source system changes:

  1. Your system sends a webhook request to QuoteLogic
  2. QuoteLogic validates the request
  3. QuoteLogic fetches the latest data from your API
  4. The data is stored and applied to your environment
  5. All users automatically reference the updated data

What Can Be Synced

Webhooks are typically used for:

  • Pricelist updates
  • Product catalog changes
  • Pricing adjustments

Data Ownership

Your external system remains the source of truth.

QuoteLogic consumes the data and applies it for quoting, but does not modify or overwrite your source system.

When to Use Webhooks

Use webhooks when:

  • Your pricing is managed in another system
  • You need real-time or near real-time updates
  • Multiple teams rely on consistent pricing data

If your data is managed manually or infrequently updated, using Import may be sufficient.
