Contacts

Contacts are used to associate people and businesses with quotes.

QuoteLogic supports customer, partner, and distributor contacts so quotes can include the right business context and pricing visibility.

Contact Types

QuoteLogic uses contacts for:

  • Customers
  • Partners
  • Distributors

Customer information is typically required for a finalized quote. Partner and distributor information can be added when needed.

Creating Contacts

Contacts can be created directly in QuoteLogic.

You can add:

  • Contact name
  • Business name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Once created, contacts are saved and can be reused across quotes.

Managing Contacts

For smaller teams, contacts can be managed directly in QuoteLogic.

You can:

  • Create contacts
  • Edit contact details
  • Delete contacts
  • Reuse saved contacts across quotes

Changes are saved and synced automatically.

Importing Contacts

Contacts can also be imported.

Import is useful when restoring contacts from an export or moving saved contacts into a new environment.

Imported contacts should follow the QuoteLogic contact format.

Enterprise Contacts

Enterprise teams may manage contacts in an external CRM or business system.

In that model, QuoteLogic can receive contacts from an approved source system and provide users access to the contacts assigned to their accounts.

For enterprise workflows:

  • The CRM remains the source of truth
  • Contacts may be read-only in QuoteLogic
  • Updates are managed in the external system
  • Users can access the contacts they are allowed to use

Using Contacts in Quotes

Contacts add business context to a quote.

They help identify:

  • Who the quote is for
  • Which partner is involved
  • Which distributor is associated with the deal

This ensures the quote reflects the correct sales relationship before it is exported or shared.

Why This Matters

Contacts help QuoteLogic support both small teams and enterprise workflows.

Small teams can manage contacts directly, while enterprise teams can preserve control through their existing CRM or account systems.
