Import

Importing allows you to load and update structured data in QuoteLogic.

This includes:

  • Pricelist (products and pricing)
  • Support Rules (support logic)
  • Fine Print (terms and conditions)

How Imports Works

All imports are handled from the same location:

Tools → Import

Each import replaces the existing data for that file type.

  • Importing a Pricelist replaces your current product catalog
  • Importing Support Rules replaces your current rules
  • Importing Fine Print replaces your current terms

QuoteLogic does not merge imported data. The imported file becomes the new source of truth.

Supported File Types

Depending on the data type, QuoteLogic supports:

  • .json
  • .csv
  • .xlsx

Refer to each setup page for exact file formats and required fields.

Import Workflow

A typical workflow:

  1. Download the template for the data type
  2. Add or update your data
  3. Import the file through Tools → Import
  4. Verify changes in the application

To make updates, modify your file and re-import.

Data Consistency

Imported data is immediately available throughout the application.

  • Changes apply to new quotes instantly
  • Existing quotes retain their previously saved data

This ensures consistency while preserving historical accuracy.
